By profession, he is an attorney currently residing in Los Angeles, California. David attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a B.A. in African & African Diaspora Studies with a minor in Anthropology. During his college years, he became immersed in coffee shop culture, spending countless hours studying for exams and finding inspiration within those spaces.

The idea for a coffee company began to take shape while David was completing his dual J.D./M.B.A. at Howard University. During a law school study abroad experience in Cape Town, South Africa, he encountered what he describes as some of the most phenomenal coffee he had ever tasted. That experience, paired with a course on International Business Transactions, sparked something greater than a passing interest - it planted the foundation for what would eventually become a specialty coffee and tea business. Combined with his strong creative background, David brings a unique perspective to problem-solving and entrepreneurship.

Through Borderless Beans, his latest entrepreneurial endeavor, David envisions building a global powerhouse that extends beyond coffee into the food and beverage, media, travel, and lifestyle industries. His mission reaches beyond creating exceptional products; it centers on telling the stories of the farmers and lands connected to coffee production while creating meaningful connections throughout the African Diaspora.
